Flea Control

Flea control is more than just a pet problem. Fleas are more than just a nuisance that infest your cats and dogs, but can be carried inside your home and become a disease threat to your entire family.
What are fleas?

Flea bites leave nasty sores, leaving people with severe allergic reactions that develop into rashes. More so, some fleas carry blood disease called "Plague", that can be transmitted to humans when bitten. Their eggs and larvae can hide out in carpets, bedding, clothing, and in small cracks in and outside your home until they hatch.

How GreenFrog Misting can help...

Our treatment begins by doing a full property inspection and notion of any problem areas. We use our specialized Barrier Spray Treatment to target and eliminate the ticks and fleas in the areas they frequently harbour. Our spray will kill these insects on contact, leaving a residual spray that eliminates the insects for a period of 30 days. A follow-up spray thereafter is necessary to continue to protect those areas, including a full property inspection, notation of any problem areas, and treatment of your entire property. Our Barrier Spray eliminates mosquitoes, ticks, and fleas on contact. As new pests try to invade your yard, they will be repelled and eliminated.

Preparation Before We Service

You and your family will need to vacate your home or apartment for approximately 3 to 5 hours until insecticide has dried.
Remove all pets from the premises and make sure they are treated at the same time with the appropriate veterinary pet shampoos and other treatment options.

Make sure to cover all food products and utensils during the time of treatment.

After Service
You and your family can re-enter the treated area after 3 to 5 hours when the insecticide has dried.
Remember not to vacuum or clean any of the treated areas within the next 2 weeks. This will allow the insecticide to do its work.

What can I do to protect my family?

Prevention & Maintenance
The best way to attack the problem is to remove fleas from both the indoor and outdoors of your home at the same time. If not, their eggs will hatch, larvae will mature, and your flea problem will be back.

Getting Started.
  • Start with your pets first.
  • Shampoo infected pets with a veterinarian recommended flea shampoo.
  • Vacuum the carpeting and furniture to remove eggs or larvae, then seal the vacuum bag in a plastic garbage bag and dispose of it.
  • Wash your linens, clothes, and pets' bedding in hot, soapy water.
  • Try using a hand spray flea product to treat your carpets and other areas where you found fleas in the past.
  • Contact your pet store and ask about the best flea repellent treatments or devices for your animals.
  • Keep your lawns trimmed at al times.
  • Practice rodent control.
  • Call your professional pest controller to help you get rid of a flea problem.
